The 2.4-liter Subaru Boxer engine on the BRZ provides an impressive 228 horsepower and creates up to 184 pound-feet of torque. The unique horizontal design of the Boxer engine helps to improve the balance of the BRZ and improves the overall handing. There are also features like a track-tuned suspension for improved control and some models are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for added control.
